Onigiri

This time, we're introducing how to make rice balls in English. I hope this video will help or motivate you to talk to your kids in English while making rice balls.

So in the US, we refer to 'onigiri' as rice balls. And many people (not all though) in the US like rice balls.

In downtown San Francisco, there's a store that sells rice balls called Onigilly. They emphasize how rice balls are healthy, so they only use 100% organic brown rice.

For the filling, they have hijiki (seaweed), pickled plum, miso eggplant, soboro (seasoned ground meat), chicken teriyaki, tarako (fish roe), etc.

Onigilly
ONIGILLY [Oh-KNEE-Ghee-Lee] is a traditional Japanese fast food
I saw Onigilly's website and thought it was a little funny. They say that rice balls are a traditional Japanese fast food. Fast food? Hmm...never thought of it that way before, but I guess you could put it that way.

At this store, they sell rice balls for about $3 each. It's pricey, but I want to have some!
